Inspiring Jew from Today: Adam Louis Klein

  • 1 min read

Adam Louis Klein is a writer, musician and anthropologist whose work focuses on Jewish identity, antisemitism and the meaning of belonging. He studied at Yale and the University of Chicago and is completing his PhD at McGill University, where he has become a leading voice on Jewish history and the modern challenges facing our community.

He is also a founding member of the Movement Against Antizionism, a group dedicated to exposing and challenging the assumptions that allow antisemitism to hide in academic, political and cultural spaces. In the months after October 7, when many Jewish students and scholars felt pushed out or shouted down, Louis Klein chose the opposite path. He wrote, spoke and taught with even more clarity, insisting that Jewish identity is legitimate and that attacks on Zionism are often attacks on Jews themselves.

He works tirelessly in this cause, meeting communities, writing essays, teaching classes and helping people understand what Jews are facing today. Adam Louis Klein shows that knowledge can be a form of courage, and that there is real strength in telling the truth even when others prefer you silent.
