This approach allows medical teams to reach injured people within minutes. In many cases, they are already close by when the missile lands.
Behind this response are thousands of staff and volunteers across Israel. They operate ambulances, motorcycles and mobile intensive care units so help can arrive as quickly as possible.
It is dangerous work, carried out under the same missile threat faced by everyone else. Yet Magen David Adom volunteers continue to respond, rushing toward danger for a simple reason: to save lives.
