Israeli Innovation: Playsight

Today, athletes train very differently to what they did in the past. A lot of that shift has come from technology that allows athletes to study and improve their performance in ways that were once impossible.
PlaySight is an Israeli sports technology that started in 2010 with a simple idea: use cameras and software to record training sessions and turn them into something athletes could analyse and learn from.
The system places multiple cameras around a court or field. It tracks movement, captures video, and generates data automatically.
Athletes can review their sessions, see exactly what they are doing, and identify what to improve.
The technology is used across sports including tennis, basketball, football, and baseball, in training environments around the world.
Since then, this kind of technology has become far more common. Advances in data and AI now play a major role in how athletes train and perform.
PlaySight was part of that early shift. It doesn’t replace talent or hard work. But it helps athletes improve faster and more precisely.
