Israeli Innovation: RealView Imaging

When we saw the hologram of Princess Leia in the first Star Wars film, it seemed like true science fiction.

 

But that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

 

In 2008, Israeli company RealView Imaging was founded, developing true 3D holograms that doctors can see and interact with in real time.

 

The technology is already being used in hospitals, including in Israel, where doctors can view a patient’s heart as a floating image during procedures.

 

It has been used in real cardiac interventions, helping doctors plan and guide complex cases.

 

They can move around the holographic image of the patient’s heart, examine it from different angles, and plan with far more precision.

 

It’s the same idea, information appearing in front of you, as if it’s really there.

 

Just like Princess Leia.
