Henrietta Szold (1860–1945) was a visionary leader who turned compassion into action. She founded Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, and helped establish hospitals, nursing schools, and public health systems in pre state Israel.

As the Holocaust loomed, she also organized Youth Aliyah, rescuing thousands of Jewish children from Nazi Europe and bringing them safely to the Land of Israel. Szold’s legacy is one of courage, care, and renewal, proving that women in leadership can be both practical and profoundly humane.
